Pakistani actress Meera has once again become the focus of public discussion after making a bold claim about her past career opportunities in Bollywood while promoting her upcoming film Psycho.
Meera is currently busy promoting her self-produced feature film Psycho, which is set to release on Eid-ul-Azha. The film also features veteran actor Shaan Shahid in a leading role, while Meera herself plays the central titular character.
During her promotional appearances, Meera has been actively engaging in interviews and podcasts as part of the film’s marketing campaign. The project continues her pattern of taking on strong lead roles, similar to her previous film Baaji, where she played a prominent central character.
While speaking in an interview with Discover Pakistan, Meera made a surprising claim regarding her earlier association with Bollywood. She stated that she was once offered a lead female role opposite Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a Yash Chopra production.
According to her, the role she referred to eventually went to Katrina Kaif in the film Jab Tak Hai Jaan. She further mentioned that the film was shot in London and that she had interacted with several well-known figures in the Indian film industry during that period.
Meera also claimed she met prominent personalities including Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Karan Johar, Dilip Kumar, and Gauri Khan. She added that she even stayed as a guest at Dilip Kumar’s residence for nearly 10 days during that period.
Following her remarks, the statements quickly went viral across social media platforms, triggering widespread debate and mixed reactions. While some users expressed curiosity about her claims, many others questioned their authenticity and called them exaggerated or unverified.
A section of social media users criticized the timing of such statements, suggesting they may be part of her promotional strategy for Psycho. Others accused her of making controversial remarks to remain in the spotlight, which further fueled online trolling and discussion.
Despite the backlash, Meera’s comments have kept her firmly in the public eye, once again highlighting how celebrity statements can rapidly turn into viral talking points in the digital age.
