Bollywood legends Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan created a sensation in Abu Dhabi as they made a surprise joint appearance at the VIP opening of the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi. The museum, located on Saadiyat Island, will officially open its doors to the public on November 22, 2025.
The two superstars arrived alongside top UAE dignitaries, including Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan and Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed. Salman Khan is currently in the UAE for his Dabangg Tour, while Shah Rukh Khan attended specifically for the museum’s exclusive inauguration event.
Both actors, dressed in sleek black suits, were given a private tour of the massive 35,000-square-metre facility. Museum officials guided them through the futuristic galleries, which showcase the natural history of Earth with a special focus on the Arabian region.

Among the museum’s most striking attractions are the 11.7-metre fossil of “Stan,” one of the world’s most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons, a rare 7-billion-year-old meteorite, and an immersive recreation of Abu Dhabi as it existed seven million years ago.
Shah Rukh and Salman were seen intently observing the exhibits, stopping frequently to admire the towering T. rex fossil and ancient meteorite fragments. Fans who happened to be at the venue were ecstatic, with several lucky ones managing quick selfies as the stars moved through the halls.
Their camaraderie continues to draw attention. The iconic Karan Arjun duo has been making several joint appearances this season — from a high-profile Delhi wedding to the Joy Forum in Riyadh — and even delighted fans with their friendly cameos in Pathaan and Tiger 3 last year.

Both actors have major projects lined up for 2026. Salman Khan has wrapped filming for Apoorva Lakhia’s war drama Battle of Galwan, while Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming multi-starrer King, which also features Suhana Khan.
The surprise museum appearance brought global star power to Abu Dhabi’s cultural landscape, marking a high-profile prelude to the museum’s much-anticipated public launch.
