Bollywood’s “Mr. Perfectionist” Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is reportedly in discussions to star alongside actress Tamannaah Bhatia in the next installment of the popular Ragini franchise, produced by Ekta Kapoor.
The upcoming film, officially titled Ragini 3, marks the franchise’s return after previous installments Ragini MMS (2011) and Ragini MMS 2 (2014). Unlike its predecessors, the new film drops the “MMS” from the title, signaling a fresh take while retaining the horror-thriller essence.
Director Shashank Ghosh is confirmed to helm the project, and Sahir Raza is expected to take on a creative role behind the scenes. While talks are ongoing with Junaid Khan and Tamannaah Bhatia for the lead roles, no official casting announcement has yet been made.
The film had reportedly faced delays, with rumors suggesting an indefinite shelving and potential director changes due to scheduling conflicts. However, the project is now confirmed to be back on track, with Shashank Ghosh remaining attached as director.
Ekta Kapoor, who produced the previous Ragini MMS films, continues her role as producer, maintaining continuity in the franchise’s creative vision. The original films starred Rajkummar Rao, Kainaz Motivala, Sunny Leone, and Sahil Prem in leading roles, establishing a blend of horror and thriller elements that the franchise is known for.
Plot details for Ragini 3 are currently under wraps, but the film is expected to continue the horror-thriller narrative while introducing fresh faces and updated storytelling. Fans of the franchise are eagerly awaiting further updates on casting, production, and the release timeline.
