Bollywood is gearing up for a spectacular 2026, with several high-budget films poised to capture audience attention. Following the success of Dhurandhar in 2025, this year promises bigger productions, star-studded casts, and grand cinematic experiences.

Reports indicate that six major films scheduled for release this year have a combined production budget of approximately Rs2,080 crore, reflecting the scale and ambition of Bollywood’s upcoming projects.

Topping the list is Ramayan, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the filmmaker behind the blockbuster Dangal, the first installment of this franchise alone has reportedly cost Rs900 crore, with the total project budget estimated at Rs4,000 crore. Ramayan is slated to release in cinemas during Diwali, generating significant anticipation.

Next is Shah Rukh Khan’s highly awaited film King, with an estimated budget of Rs300 crore. The film is notable for featuring Shah Rukh Khan alongside his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time. Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is expected to be a major draw for audiences.

The third release is Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, set to hit theaters on March 19, 2026. Made with a budget of approximately Rs250 crore, the film continues the franchise that captivated audiences last year.

Fourth is Border 2, featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh in key roles. Scheduled for release on January 23, this action-packed sequel carries a budget of around Rs230 crore.

Finally, two films share the fifth spot: Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan and Love and War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt. Both projects reportedly have production budgets of roughly Rs200 crore each, promising large-scale entertainment and star power.
